Gardai and Met Eireann are warning motorists to be very careful this morning as icy and snowy conditions are continuing as a result of storm Jake.
Overnight, snow fell on high ground in Leinster and North East Ulster. This morning temperatures are still hovering around zero.
Garda John Christie said:
“Met Eireann have issued another yellow weather warning this morning and we’d like to remind people out on the roads to slow down, be extra vigilant and leave plenty of time for longer journeys. The weather isn’t getting any better over the next 24 hours, the message is simple – slow down.”
