Met Eireann has issued an Orange weather alert ahead of the arrival of Storm Callum on Thursday evening.
The alert covers counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, and Waterford.
The warning will kick in at 10.00pm on Thursday and will remain in effect until 12.00pm the next day.
The national forecaster predicts torrential rain and ‘damaging gusts’ of up to 130km/h.
