Last week the country experienced some atrocious weather as there was widespread rainfall throughout the country combined with below average temperatures which left us all pretty much thinking about autumn rather than summer.
Well now it seems the begining of this week will feel a whole lot more like summer as temperatures are expected to top out at a sweltering 25c in the coming days ahead.
According to Met Eireann the country will sunny spells throughout today and tomorrow with little to no rainfall expected.
The forecaster has also said they expect temperatures to range between 20-25c with coastal areas expected to be cooler due to the light sea breeze.
However if you were hoping for a week of summer bliss with glorious sunshine throughout you may be set to be disappointed as Met Eireann say conditions similar to the tail end of last week are set to return on Wednesday with heavy rainfall and lower temperatures expected to last until the beginning of the weekend.
