Earlier today, just over $34,000 had been raised. This evening, the amount stands at more than $70,000.
Communities both in the US and here in Ireland have come together to assist the families of the students who tragically lost their lives when a balcony in the Berkeley building where they had gathered for a party collapsed, sending six young people to their deaths and severely injuring seven others.
There have been claims today that the building’s developers had previously settled a lawsuit based around shoddy workmanship in a separate apartment complex.
