Support grows for a third Bush in the White House

Jeb Bush, the younger brother of President George W. Bush, is probably going to run for president in 2016, according to reports from his staff and supporters. The former governor of Florida and son of President George H.W. Bush may announce his candidacy as early as next month.

Mr Bush is seen as a strong contender for the Republican nomination for president and Republican donors have been advised to hold off on pledging support for other contenders, such as New Jersey governor Chris Christie, in anticipation of a January announcement.

The race for the White House will begin early next year as candidates from both parties vie for nomination. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton is expected to run, and pressure has grown on Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren to run against Mrs Clinton for her party’s nomination.
