Out-of-touch Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s latest scheme to plunder the taxpayer’s pocket includes the introduction of a carbon tax.
According to Mr. Varadkar, the scheme is “not about raising money” but about “changing behaviour”.
A levy of €20 is currently in place, but that levy is no doubt likely to increase significantly over the next few years.
It recently emerged that Ireland is unlikely to meet its environmental targets any time soon.
