Enda Kenny has said that the forthcoming Budget will show that austerity measures have paid off, but at who’s expense?
Emigration has plagued our country for the past 7 years. People got fed up not having a job and left for the UK, Australia and Canada.
Kenny was in Mayo this morning at a HSE ‘Saolta’ event in Westport.
He said that “next week’s Budget will show people the economic sacrifices they had made in recent
years were beginning to pay off.”
He said there was not money for everything and the Government would not introduce a “blank
cheque Budget”
The government will sign off the Budget next week.
We’ll await this ‘positive Budget’ with baited breath…
