It has been confirmed that the cost of the controversial water charges per household is set to be announced in the Dáil next Wednesday evening.
It is understood that the Dáil will discuss a motion setting out the charges over a two-day period.
According to reports it is thought that highly contested debate will last for over three hours on Wednesday and almost ten hours on Thursday. TDs will then vote on the motion on Thursday night.
Meanwhile the Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said that details on the water charges will offer clarity and certainty to people, in terms of the contribution they would have to make and what they would get.
Mr Kenny also said that the Government has listened very carefully to the concerns and anxieties that people have surrounding the proposed charges.
