Taoiseach: ‘I’ll ask Mario Draghi to attend the Banking Inquiry’

In an act of wishful thinking, Enda Kenny has said that he will ‘ask’ ECB President Mario Draghi to attend the Banking Inquiry that got underway today, even though the ECB yesterday released a statement expressly refusing any willful participation into such Inquiry.

Sinn Fein’s Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald referred to the Taoiseach as a ‘crawler’ in the Dáil today.

Unfazed, and determined to make a resolute demonstration of political will, Mr. Kenny insisted that he will raise the issue at the European Council meeting taking place in Brussels tomorrow.
