An 18-yr-old man from Co. Louth has been charged with a serious assault on his 10-wk-old baby daughter.
The man, who has not been named due to legal reasons, was arrested in Cork City yesterday and was officially charged with assault causing serious harm, at a special sitting of Clonakilty District Court.
The charge comes less than five months after the baby, who is still receiving treatment at Temple Street Hospital, suffered severe head injuries and broken bones during the incident which occurred at her home in Co. Louth last March.
