Authorities in the UK have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy will stand trial for the murder of six-year-old Alesha McPhail.
According to Sky News, the teenager who cannot be named due to legal reasons will stand trial in 2019.
Alesha who went missing in Rothesay, on the island of Bute in Scotland on the 2nd of July this year, was tragically found dead near an abandoned hotel following a police search.
It is expected the teenager will stand trial in February after he was charged with the rape and murder of little Alesha.
The teenager has reportedly denied both charges brought against him.
