Authorities in Australia have yet issued another warning as the country is experiencing its hottest ever summer.
The latest warning comes as a number of regions across the country experienced temperatures exceeding 40C over the past few days.
Although the high temperatures were mainly recorded in central and western regions over Christmas, forecasters say the mercury has sky rocketed on the East Coast with temperatures reaching well above 40C.
It is expected the extremely high temperatures are to last for the coming days ahead as the country is in the middle of a sweltering heatwave.
In a public warning many Australians have keep themselves hydrated and not to expose themselves to the sun for long periods of time.
Meanwhile restrictions have also been implemented at sporting events including the Australian Open tennis championship in order to protect athletes.
