Ten people have been confirmed dead, and ten others have been injured, in the latest episode of gun violence at a US school.
The shooting occurred at Santa Fe High School, in Santa Fe, Texas.
The shooter has been identified as 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, who is understood to be a student at the facility.
Pagourtzis reportedly used a shotgun and a .38 revolver to carry out the massacre. Authorities say that the weapons belonged to the shooter’s father.
This is the 22nd school shooting in the States so far this year.
