Tens of thousands expected to descend onto the streets of Dublin tomorrow to defend the 8th Amendment

Tens of thousands of people are expected to march through the streets of central Dublin tomorrow afternoon for the last pro life rally before the referendum on the Eighth Amendment.

The event starts at 2pm in Parnell Square and will walk down through O’Connell St across the Liffey and on towards Merrion Square where a large stage will hear speeches from various campaign spokespeople.

It’s understood that gardai will be on scene to ensure the event remains peaceful.

The Eighth Amendment is the amendment that currently protects Irish babies from abortion. A referendum on the Eighth Amendment will take place on Friday 25th.
