Security services at Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport were put on high alert earlier today, after reports of a ‘suspicious package’ at the facility.
Armed officers and sniffer dogs were deployed, as passengers were prevented from entering a security screening area.
The terminal was deemed safe at around 3.30pm this afternoon, but some flight delays and irate passengers were unavoidable.
