Tayto park in County Meath was in complete lockdown last night after at least 12 people were rushed to hospital.
At approximately 9pm last night, a stairs collapsed at Tayto Park at the Halloween stage area of the theme park.
The theme park was immediately in full lock down mode as two ambulances were rushed to the park located just outside Ashbourne in County Meath to respond to the incident.
Health and safety authorities will launch an investigation after the terrifying incident in the coming days, but it’s believed at least 10 people fell through a stairs unit with a further 2 falling after the structure collapsed.
Eyewitness said officials immediately cordoned off the area where the accident happened, and it is not clear how many park goers were affected.
A spokesperson for Tayto Park confirmed that there had been “an incident”, they have confirmed they will be releasing a statement later this morning.
