Tests being carried out on a bone discovered the banks of the River Shannon




Gardaí in Co Clare have revealed they are currently awaiting on results of forensic tests carried out on a bone discovered on the banks of the River Shannon in Co Clare yesterday afternoon.

The unidentified bone was reportedly discovered at approximately 1.30pm yesterday afternoon on a river bank at Doonass in Clonlara.

Gardaí say: “The scene was examined and the bone was removed to University Hospital Limerick to determine what type of bone it is.”

It is believed test results will be determined later today.
