The third iteration of the Beast from the East weather event will happen, according to Met Eireann.
In its five-day weather prediction, the national forecaster has said that freezing temperatures and snow will return from next Tuesday onwards.
Early indications show that the weather might take a turn for the worse from March 29, though this is not yet quite confirmed.
Conditions will remain changeable in the run-up to Easter, with showers mixed with periods of sunshine at at times.
