It may well be a known tourist destination throughout the world but the Burren in Co Clare has picked up another accolade recently as the region was named as Ireland’s best destination for food-lovers.
It is understood the area was today announced the overwhelming winner at the 2015 “Foodie Town” award which was held recently.
The Competitions judging panel named the area as the country’s best place to dine out after they all agreed the area’s bustling farmers markets, unique food story and spirit of collaboration was the key component in the region claiming the coveted prize.
