Storm Helene is almost upon us, so the citizenry has been advised to exercise extreme caution on Monday afternoon and evening due to expected high winds and heavy rain.
Met Eireann will issue a number of weather warnings, adding that the south and the southeast coast are likely to bear the brunt of the onslaught.
The national forecaster will keep a close eye on developments and issue further advice in due course.
