Meteorological services here and in the UK recently devised a scheme to name Atlantic weather systems that have the potential to cause damage with the goal of ‘raising awareness’ about the approaching danger.
As part of such naming scheme, Aileen, Iona, and Larry are among the monikers that may be assigned to winter storms.
