‘Don’t eat and drive,’ publican, politician, and part-time fantasist Danny Healy-Rae from the Kingdom proclaims, and all is good.
Mr. Rae is well known for his attempts to debunk scientifically proven theories with his own theological wisdom, and he is at it again by twisting ‘Don’t drink and drive‘ to ‘Don’t eat and drive.’
Speaking today, one half of the Healy-Rae political powerhouse said that eating too much is the same as drinking too much, and that you are a danger on the road as you are likely to fall asleep at the wheel.
The publican is going after the Road Safety Authority (RSA), stating that the organization is on “a crusade to isolate people further in rural Ireland“, after the RSA announced plans to introduce a mandatory three-month driving ban for any motorist caught with a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 51-80mg per 100ml.
