The heat goes on: Met Eireann say heatwave to last another two weeks with little rain in sight

Ireland is currently basking in glorious sunshine and high temperatures and according to the latest forecast, it will go on for at least another two weeks.

The recent hot spell has seen the country experience its driest June in over 50 years, will apparently go on for another 14 days with little to no rain on the horizon.

According to Met Eireann’s Evelyn Cusack, latest weather charts show that over the coming ten days the weather outlook will remain the same with temperatures expected to soar into the high 20s once again.

Speaking on RTE’s Prime Time programme, the well known weather presenter also revealed that new experimental weather charts show that the current heatwave could be stay for another 14 to 15 days.

The latest weather predictions could potentially see Ireland have one of its warmest and driest July’s in recent years.
