The Magnificent Seven: Eddie Jordan joins Top Gear as the BBC confirm the show will have seven presenter’s

There was some big for fans of BBC’s Top Gear today as the motoring show revealed its all new line-up.

The new reboot which will be led by Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc and of course the Stig, will a whole host of new presenters in its next series this May. In a statement on its website the motoring magazine programme reveae that racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris, F1 pundit Eddie Jordan and motoring journalist Rory Reid will joining the trio this summer.

The new lineup all wrote brief statments about joining the show with Former F1 supremo Eddie Jordan saying: “I have such enormous respect for all my fellow presenters and I politely ask that they go easy on these old bones.” Whilst Sabine who is no stranger to regular viewers of the show said: “so the chance to combine both driving and filming was too good an opportunity to pass up.”

Meanwhile YouTube star Chris Harris said: “Top Gear is the thing that helped shape my life with cars, my perception of cars and my obsession with cars, and I’m raring to give it a go. “I’m also quite gobby and happy to get into trouble. And if it all goes wrong, well, I can say I was once on Top Gear, and just head back to being that annoying small bloke off YouTube.”

The show will also feature an ordinary member of the public after Rory Reid successfully passed the programmes audition process earlier this year. Speaking on his arrival a chuffed Roy said: “When I submitted my 30-second audition tape, I knew the odds were very firmly against me. “To be the only person to make it through the open audition process makes me immensely proud. I’ve been a Top Gear fan for decades, but more than that, I live and breathe cars in a way that is perfectly compatible with the show.”

The new series will air this summer which will have many critics and people talking. However if you wish to see the original presenting trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May you can as their new untitled show will air on Amazon Prime later this year.
