‘The mother of all public transport disputes’ is upon us, according to union chiefs

The day of reckoning for embattled Bus Eireann is nigh.

If no agreement is reached before the deadline of Monday March 6, unions have warned of the ‘mother of all public transport disputes’.

Management at Bus Eireann have so far claimed indemnity from any financial cuts, while dealing severe financial hardship to the lower echelons.

In response to such abuse, and the blatant indifference of Minister for Transport Shane Ross to the whole issue, unions have warned of a dramatic industrial action starting Monday. Such move may affect over 100,000 passengers per day.

The row continues.
