One of the country’s biggest Irish aid relief agencies GOAL has placed an unexploded rocket on a Dublin city centre street today, in order raise awareness about the seriousness of the ongoing conflict in Syria.
The charity say they placed the artificial rocket to show Dubliners what is like for many Syrian families who see this almost everyday. The agency also say millions of people have been forced to leave their homeland and travel abroad, whilst a further 250,000 people have been tragically killed in the horrific conflict over the past five years.
GOAL also say that the current influx of refugees to the EU will continue until a lasting deal for peace is struck in Syria.
