That Irish Water’s days are numbered, everybody is sure of. And everybody is also certain that this failed Government will do their best to defend the abortive creation they spawned, conjuring up threats and using their hackneyed scare tactics until the “For sale” sign is hung outside Irish Water’s HQ.
The protest in Dublin yesterday, which saw tens of thousands march across the city in defiance of Irish Water and water charges, passed off peacefully.
Protesters banged drums, chanted and held banners, placards, flags and balloons displaying a clear and unequivocal message: “We won’t pay.”
