If you feel that Three’s increase in pricing over their 4G package is a bit of stretch for you but you’re tied into a contract, there seems to be a way out of it – without paying them off.
According to Jim O’Brien from “Tech Buzz Ireland”, he managed to get out of a contract that had at least 5 months left on it.
In a detailed article on the tech guru’s website, he claims that Three’s terms changed and he wasn’t notified thus giving him an ‘out’ from the contract, and it worked for him.
According to Jim it’s Three’s contract that changed over the 4G and that allows the exit:
“This time anyone on a contract with Three is entitled to exit their contract due to THEM changing the terms and this is always a good time for people to jump ship when something like this pops up and look for another provider.”
He has documented the steps he took on how he got out of the contract on this website.
