Thousands of women take to the streets across South America to protest after a young girl is brutally raped and impaled on a spike

Thousands of women across South America have taken to the streets to protest against the brutal rape and killing of a 16-year-old school girl.

The widespread strike comes after the innocent girl was allegedly raped and impaled on a spike by ruthless drug dealers on the 8th October.

It is understood the protest was undertaken to voice their opinion and disgust of how women are treated in the region.

It is believed women from Mexico, Guatemala, Argentina and Brazil have taken to the streets to voice their anger over the death of Lucia Perez.
