Thousands attended the funeral of legendary country western singer ‘Big Tom’ McBride was laid to rest yesterday in his native Co. Monaghan.
The 81-yr-old is perhaps the best know country western singer in the country with massive success, especially during the Showband era.
Northern Sound FM posted the family’s statement when he passed away on Tuesday.
”It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father Big Tom McBride(RIP) this morning.
Dad passed away peacefully in the company of his family.
He will be sadly missed by all who new him.
May he rest in peace”
