Gardai have arrested three people in connection with an aggravated burglary that took place in Co. Tipperary earlier this month.
The shocking event took place inside a property on the Old Dublin Road in Roscrea. A gang of thugs assaulted the residents, a couple in their 90s, taking a small sum of money.
The man sustained head injuries and had to be rushed to hospital. The woman was not injured, but was deeply upset.
Gardai have now apprehended a 28-year-old man and two other males, aged 17 and 34, in connection with this shocking incident.
