Three men have been charged with the brutal murder of Maltese journalist and blogger Daphne Caruana last October.
Ms. Caruana, a well known and outspoken blogger, died when her vehicle was blown up near the village of Bidnija in northern Malta.
She ran a popular blog in which she exposed the alleged corruption of Maltese government officials.
Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, who himself was on Ms. Caruana’s investigation list and had faced accusations of wrongdoing, referred to the killing as a “barbaric attack on press freedom”.
Three men have now been charged over Ms. Caruana’s murder.
