Three men have been arrested after a firearm was discharged against Gardai during a chase in Kildare on Monday night.
Gardai were in pursuit of a vehicle spotted driving at high speed through Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, late last night.
The same vehicle was later spotted at Larch Hill, where one of the occupants exited it and fired a weapon -believed to be a shotgun- at Gardai.
The vehicle was intercepted later in the night by armed Gardai, who arrested three men in their 20s and 30s.
