Three men, two of whom are believed to be Aer Lingus employees, face court today for alleged human trafficking.
The operation was discovered at Dublin Airport, with two of the men assisting an immigrant pass through the airport without immigration checks.
The men are being held at Ballymun, Coolock, and Swords Garda stations.
There are serious security concerns at our airports according to Gardaí, with up to 100 people being trafficked through each year.
Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald said that “extreme vigilance” was needed at Dublin Airport and every entry point in the country – adding that international trafficking impacts on every European country.
