Three men have been gored in the infamous and controversial San Fermin ‘Running of the Bulls Festival’ in Spain’s Pamplona.

The incident happened on the first day of the seven day long traditional summer festival.

One of the men gored has been identified as a 30-year old British man from London with the initials A.B.O. It is believed he sustained injuries to the groin.

The other was identified as a 27-year-old Californian man with the initials D.M.O who is believed to have been gored in the lower back.

American man, 38-year-old occupational therapist Mike Webster, was gored in the armpit by one of the bulls. Webster, who is from Florida, has been attending the annual festival for the past 11 years and ran with the bulls on 38 occasions.

None of the men are said to be in a serious condition.

It is believed that 10 others have been taken to hospital with injuries.

The six bulls, which each weigh around half a ton, run through the narrow streets of the city, for around two and a half minutes, before arriving at the city’s bullring, chasing those who take part.
