Three people have been shot dead in Lisbon after row over barking dog

Three people have been shot dead after a domestic row.

The incident happened in the town of Quinta do Conde, near Lisbon, Portugal.

The row is believed to be over a barking dog.

A local policeman, from the area, went to investigate the disturbance after hearing shots being fired. He was shot dead.

His 23-year-old son who assisted him was shot in the crossfire.

Another policeman who was called to the scene was also shot dead.

The suspected gunman (77) was taken to hospital after trying to take his own life.
