The resulting talks of Aer Lingus trade union staff and the company itself, will ensure that staff keep their current entitlements.

The problem with trade unions so-called ‘fighting’ for the rights for their workers, need to face reality and the certainty that Ireland is still knee deep in recession.

The ‘take’ mentality of a trade unionist is contrary to an anti-recession movement. Their objectives are irrelevant to the profit and loss line, and concentrate solely on how much they can reap from their employer.

Far too much power is given to trade unions and they’re ability to hoodwink the public into believing their rhetoric.

  1. Regarding this text below. You want to go back to a time when people could not have representation? You want a state where people do not have a living wage? You want a workforce that is not able to stimulate the economy…. just like what is happening here now, where spending has fallen and the economy is in contraction? So much money has been taken out of the system and with the banks holding onto money and the Jobscam making people slaves… you call for further abrogation of a workforces right to attain a living wage. HOW will this create a new genuine boom.
