It may be time to pull out the summer clothing early as forecasters are predicting that Ireland will experience a mini heatwave at the end of April with temperatures expected to top 21c.

According to RSVP Live, both Ireland and the UK will see a surge in temperatures as a warm front sweeps up from Spain.

The paper states that Exacta Weather forecaster James Madden has predicted that from the 19th of April onwards drier and warmer weather will be expected.

In what will be a welcome change to the weather it is expected that the unusual warm spell with above average temperatures could last into the beginning of May.
