President Higgins has revealed that he will announce his future plans in July ahead of the next Presidential election.
President Higgins who was speaking at Vytautas Magnus University in the Lithuanian capital, Kaunus, said he has had time to reflect on his current Presidency and he will formally make his decision next.
President Higgins who has been tipped to run for another term in office also said he will value the public’s opinions in regards to his future.
The president made his comments whilst speaking ceremony that seen him being given an honorary doctorate.
