The New York Police Department have confirmed yesterday’s car crash at Times Square was not terrorism.
They have however confirmed that one person has died, and 22 others have been injured, after a vehicle driven by an intoxicated man plowed through pedestrians in Times Square.
The driver has been identified as ex-Navy serviceman Richard Rojas, 26, who was apprehended at the scene. It is understood that Rojas has a history of drink driving, and had been arrested twice in the past for the same offence.
An 18-yr-old woman was killed in the incident while many more had life threatening injuries but are expected to survive.
