Tina Satchwell’s husband Richard spoke openly on the Ray D’Arcy Show about his wife’s mysterious disappearance

Richard Satchwell spoke candidly on the Ray D’Arcy show about his wife Tina’s disappearance.

Tina has been missing now for a year from her home in Youghal, Co. Cork.

Richard told D’Arcy that he is doing is best to keep going and that he is holding out hope. He said that he knows people believe he has had a hand in his wife’s disappearance but he was adament he had nothing to do with it.

He said that locals down in Cork know the couple and that “everybody who knows us, knows different”.

Richard said that he knew what people were saying and thinking and that obviously people think it’s the husband or the partner.

He said that he doesn’t seek media attention, he gets on with a few in the media but not many. If he does media, he’s wrong, if he doesn’t he’s guilty.

Richard was hopeful that by doing the interview tonight it might jog someone’s memory. He said that doing a show on Primetime has brought the investigation to gardai looking in a nearby woods.

Richard said that numerous people have claimed to have seen Tina since her disappearance. He said that on the day of her disappearance, she had asked him to light a candle in a Church and that when he went back to the house she had vanished and a sum of €26,000 was also missing.

He said he regrets fully that he waited a couple of days to notify the gardai as he thought she’d just gone to relatives in Fermoy.

Richard said as far as he’s concerned Tina would never do anything to herself and he just hopes she turns up.
