With the recent good weather and with temperatures in the mid to high 20s, forecasters have said that today will be officially the hottest day of the year so far.
Forecasters have reported that temperatures in parts of Ireland will hit 28 degrees or more today (Friday), with even more sunshine than today and very little cloud overhead.
Parts of the country are have been enjoying temperatures of up to 27 degrees this week, which is a degree or two cooler than both London and Paris.
