He is known as one of Hollywood’s nicest guys and regularly helps those who are in need and now Tom Hanks has yet again proved his humanity after posting a picture to Twitter showing himself holding a student ID card which was lost by a 20 year old college student.
Hanks who regularly posts to social media showing himself with items he finds on his travels took the time to write a personal message to the young student named Lauren saying he was currently in possession of her student ID card and he would happily return it to her if she got in contact with him. The student Lauren, who currently attends Fordham University in New York was subsequently tracked down after her roommate and one of her professors noticed Hanks’ tweet.
Lauren told of E! online should could not believe that Hanks had found her ID saying the whole incident was a bit of a whirlwind, the 20 year said: “My first reaction was, is this real? Is this the real Tom Hanks and not some fan group? But then it all made sense with how I lost it the other day.” Lauren, also explained of how her ID was lost saying it must have fallen out of her bag whilst taking her phone out. Lauren has said she has contacted Hanks through his Facebook account but is yet to hear back. Lauren added: “I had to deactivate the card and get a new one,” she tells us. “I had to pay $20 to get a new card, so I would love it if I could get my old card back and get my $20 back.”
