An Egyptian lawyer has sparked outrage across the world after he claimed that it was his and every other man’s national duty to sexually harass and rape women who walk around ‘half naked’.

The man who is at the centre of a major storm not only in his own country but others around the world Nabih al-Wahsh, has received widespread criticism from sexual assault and rape victim groups who have condemned his sickening comments.

Mr al-Wahsh who is a prominent conservative in Egypt, apparently made his disturbing comments during a recent TV debate show which discussed the drafting of a law which will fight prostitution in the country.

The outspoken lawyer who has also angered a number of feminist groups with his disgraceful comments told the fellow panelists and the viewing public that women who were low cut tops, ripped jeans or any other form of revealing clothing should be sexually assaulted as they are inciting it.

He also told the programme that the nations women should respect themselves in order for others to respect them and it is more important than protecting borders.

However all-Wahsh disturbing comments have not gone unnoticed by the country’s leading political figures and his views have come in for strong criticism with many saying his comments clearly issued a call for rape and they clearly violated the constitution of Egypt.
