According to reports in the US veteran jazz performer and actor Della Reese has sadly died aged 86.
Reese who is best remembered for her role as Tessa on the hit Disney series Touched By An Angel, sadly passed away on Sunday.
The news of the stars death was confirmed in a statement released by her family, who said Resse died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Touched By An Angel ran for nine seasons from 1994 until its conclusion in 2003.
