Tough talk: North Korea claims that it ‘will not flinch from using nuclear weapons’ on the face of further sanctions

An UN Resolution imposing further sanctions on the North Korean regime has been deemed a ‘hostile act’ by the country’s ruling party.

In a response statement released by North Korean officials, it was stated that the regime ‘will not flinch from using nuclear weapons.’

The UN council unanimously passed a resolution yesterday, further extending the current sanction programme in an attempt to curtail North Korea’s nuclear programme.

The secretive regime has carried out 12 missile tests in recent times, some of which have ended in failure.

Those failures notwithstanding, the UN sees a clear threat and has now taken corrective measures.

American President Donald Trump is said to be collaborating with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to address that ‘North Korean problem.’
