Tragedy struck this morning when a 19 year old man died in a workplace accident in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
The young man was fatally injured this morning, around 9am in an industrial accident at a farm near Castleross.
He was immediately taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he later died from his injuries.
Both the Health and Safety Authority and the Gardaí have launched separate investigations into the incident.
