3-yr-old Ronan Kennedy from Templederry, Co Tipperary died after he walked into a jacuzzi at a hotel kids club in Quality Hotel in Youghal, County Cork in July 2015.
CCTV footage showed the little boy walking into a jacuzzi and drowning as a result.
Ronan’s parents, Bridget and John Kennedy have called on the government to introduce new regulations for swimming pools immediately.
An inquest heard what a wonderful little boy Ronan was and how his death has affected his extended family.
His parents are now pushing for more stringent regulations around swimming pools, jacuzzis etc so that all water-filled environments are better monitored and that safety is paramount for the likes of Ronan who may be playing or roaming around such facilities.
