There was some sad news announced last night as Gardaí in Co Galway have confirmed that a young girl is in a serious condition in University Hospital Galway following a farm accident in Dunmore.
Gardaí say the tragic accident occurred at approximately 6pm on Tuesday evening, when 8-year-old girl apparently fell off a tractor. A Garda spokesperson also revealed that the young girl was quickly airlifted to University Hospital Galway, where she is thought to be in critical condition.
The spokesperson also said that a Garda investigation is underway with the aid of the Health and Safety Authority to find out what exactly happened.
