A 10-year-old child sadly lost his life while on a family trip to an amusement park.
The tragic incident happened yesterday afternoon at the Pleasureland funfair on the Central Promenade in Newcastle, Co. Down.
Witnesses said that the child appeared to faint, but it soon transpired that his condition was critical.
He was rushed by ambulance to Belfast’s Royal Victoria Children’s Hospital, but he later died.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
